Lending a Helping Hand

Founded in 2018, Share the Care has been working hard with the help of our volunteers to help individuals in our area. Our work is dedicated to delivering charitable services, and we strive to inspire and improve the lives of those who need assistance. Read about some of our recent news stories.....

Share the Care Charity is registered with the Charity Commission for England and Wales (Registration No. 1195174).

What do we do?

We are a small group of dedicated friends and volunteers, set up to help the elderly, the underprivileged, mentally challenged physically and/or mentally impaired and those struggling in the community.

Our work has greatly expanded recently, as more and more referrals were made, and we discovered many families and individuals needing our help.

Desperately needed supplies (mainly food but also clothing and basic essentials when available) are distributed to many individuals, families and other charitable organisations throughout our community.

We help many mentally challenged, autistic, mentally and physically disabled, cancer sufferers and survivors, COVID-19 survivors, children and families at risk. We also support individuals with dependency problems.

Where do we operate?

We operate in a number of towns and villages throughout Yorkshire and Lancashire.

As well as distributing food to individuals and families, we donate to several food banks and soup kitchens in the area.

Who helps us?

The free food that we distribute to those in need is all kindly donated by local supermarkets. Our team of volunteers collect this food from the supermarkets daily, and distribute it to the various locations throughout the region.

The food is all given away as soon as possible, usually without the need for storage - well within 24 hours, and usually within a few hours of collection.

The major donors of the food that we distribute include Aldi, Co-op, M&S and Morrisons - and Share the Care would like to thank them all for their kind generousity, as without them, we would not be able to do what we do. Find out more about who helps us.....
